Pumpkin Soup

I put on my artistic flair with my artistic friends on Tuesday night for a pumpkin carving extravaganza! Phil made pumpkin soup from scratch with our scooped insides (it was so amazingly delicious!!) We carved with serious intensity, with the "Monster Mash" playing on loop in the background (our only festive music on Jill's iTunes). I think the pumpkins turned out really well, and we lit them at the end for proper pictures. Mine is the more classic look, Jill's the flirty female, and Phil's the baby one in the middle with two looks (double design front-and-back). They are going to be on display at Jill's Halloween party at her apartment Friday night!
Yesterday I had lunch with my advisor on campus, and the meeting went really well. I have some great feedback to start my research. And then I met up with Lauren for some vintage, second hand shopping. Feeling inspired with my purchases and finding cresent rolls at the grocery store, I made mom's zucchini pie for dinner and invited some friends in the neighborhood over to share. We had a nice little dinner party and an early night - I had to wake up at 6:30 AM to make the long train commute to school for a meeting and class.
I am having a great week so far and am so ready for my move to my new apartment on Saturday! Halloween is tomorrow, along with vast amounts of packing for the 4th or 5th time in a matter of weeks.
Hope all is well! I hear there is snow for some of you back home - how exciting and cold! I am trying to brave the extremely chilly weather that only brings dark, rainy days.
