Third Time's the Charm

I have found a new apartment!!!!!!

And this one is for real. November 1- August 1. No more moving. Third time's the charm.

I know some of you were unaware that I was still searching for a new apartment, but I was not in a good situation with Apartment number 2. I was advised to look for a new place from several people here in Berlin, and Betty Taylor's brother and his wife living in the city were so helpful and supportive of my search for place number 3. The new apartment is so much closer to the university, is a spacious single apartment, and will be my first apartment all on my own! And it is in a gorgoeus area. And easy to travel to anywhere in the city. I am so excited!!

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful support network of friends and family back home. Thank you so much for the prayers, thoughts, emails, messages, and phone calls.

I had faith that something would work out in this apartment crisis '08, and I am absolutely in love with my new destination. So many people came together here in Germany that I have only known a few weeks and really helped me out so much in finding a new apartment. I feel so blessed beyond words. It is an incredible feeling knowing that so many people care about me and that I have already made true friends in Germany.

So November 1st, a new adventure begins!!

The weekend flew by extremely fast. Friday night was the international club meeting, and I met a lot of new and fun people. Saturday the Moss's had set up the apartment viewing appointment and had me over for coffee. Watched the Jackets win over Clemson at the coffee shop! And for most of the downtime in the weekend I was out and about with Jill. We had fantastic food, drinks, flea marketed, found an Indian food brunch buffet, and engaged in deep political discussions.

I am looking forward to an exciting week of class and getting organized. It's Homecoming this weekend (sad I won't make it!) and almost Halloween time!!

My essay for the NATO Conference was published to the YATA blog. Check out #9 if you are interested:
