Wishing all a very Merry Christmas from here in Germany!!!
This Christmas has been so special, with all of my family here to share in the things I love about Berlin, meet some of my friends, eat tons of delicious food, travel all around, and experience the "winter magic" of Christmas time in Germany. Trey would tell you that all the Christmas markets are pretty much the same - just like the Christmas Tree Shops in Cape Cod, once you've seen one, you've seen them all. But I have really enjoyed the tradition of going to the Christmas markets and visiting them all (I know Mommy and Gram too - they have souviner mugs to prove it : ) It makes the city seem so cozy for the month of December, with live music, hot Gluehwein, ice skating rinks, so many homemade sweets and candied nuts, little craft booths, countless ornaments... I love the entire atmosphere!
But really the best part of this Christmas is being with my family. Since Dresden, we have visited Prenzlauer Berg and the flea market, had coffee and cake in my *favorite* coffee shop in all of Berlin, took a day trip to Potsdam to see all of the castles and Christmas market, more shopping, Trey's and mine adventure to the top of the Reichstag, homemade soup, me losing horribly in Hearts, a beautiful Christmas Eve service, and now a fun day with family by my Charlie Brown Christmas tree!!
I have a full selection of pictures after our family slideshow today - so here a bunch to enjoy. Hope all is well back home and Frohe Weihnachten!!!!
Kisses for such a great Christmas!
