The days getting ready for my family to visit (I was soo incredibly excited for them to come!!) were jammed packed with things to do. Jake came to visit for a few days, I had class, Christmas shopping, apatment cleaning, grocery shopping, Fulbright project assignments, and so much more. Somehow I managed to get everything done, and squeeze in a fun night of karaoke with friends and a day trip to Leipzig with the international club before the fam arrived. All of the running around, tree decorating (some references have been made to a Charlie Brown type tree, standing at only 2 feets tall... but I love it shimmering in gold in white as my first ever Tech tree!), gift buying, and finishing school work ahead was completely worth it to enjoy the holidays and take a break with my family!! The Christmas market in Leipzig was huge, and could hardly contain so many people, thousands of mugs of hot Gluehwein, and the countless number of candied nuts.
