A Radio Celebrity

I am a regular radio celebrity in Marburg!

My class (the best class!!) put together a one hour radio program special about the Fulbright program and the US election. We rehersed the program all morning, then went live on the air at 4pm from the local radio station. We had everything planned out as we clutched to our written out transcripts. But the initial fear of speaking german on the radio slowly left the group as we started the show, and I think it turned out fairly well. I spoke for a few minutes about energy issues in the US election campaign. It turned out to be a really fun project, and our language teacher Frank was incredibly proud of us. I now own a CD version of the live show! Haha.

This week is going by at a super rapid pace. I took my german language final exam yesterday and passed. So now I have earned my Marburg German Language Certificate to take with me to Berlin. I hear that it is even stamped in true German fashion.

Tomorrow night we have a student concert and group dinner to attend. I cannot wait to go to Berlin, but it will be bitter sweet leaving half of my new friends behind! I am just glad that we have a fun evening planned tomorrow night.

Missing everyone as always : )
